Nifty Futures 11am Call
11am: Nifty Futures opened today at 6197 against its previous close of 6182, and is currently trading at 6169. It has so far recorded a HIGH of 6208 & a LOW of 6158. Asian cues are positive, US futures are just flat, and European markets may open little changed today. The trading range for NF today is likely to be 6110-6208.

ZICOM SECURITY SYSTEMS LTD
My first Investment Pick of 2011 is "ZICOM SECURITY SYSTEMS" - FV 10 - CMP 54 - 52 Weeks High 134 - 52 weeks Low 46.50. Equity 12.70cr.
The stock is available very close to its 52 Weeks Low. The company has sold its Government & Institutional segments of its security systems business to Luxembourg based Schneider for a whopping 225 crores since April 2010, and will utilise a part of the cash generated into the business of managed security services to telecom operators for their Base Tower Stations (BTS). They will also develop their retail & SME segments for their existing security systems.
BUY this share for a 2-3 years term. My Target for this share is 200 in 36 months.

STOCK FUTURES
Here is a method to earn profits out of investments made by all of you in stocks recommended by me. Pl follow the instructions carefully:
1. Ensure that all the investments made by you are in one demat account, preferably in a sound & well known brokerage house like ICICI Bank.
2. Do not mix any of your trading positions including short term stock trades in this account.
3. Create "FnO Margin" by just pledging the shares held by you for long term. Every brokerage house allows this by giving a margin against all shares after deducting the fixed "hair cut". For example, for Balaji Telefilms, ICICI Bank deducts only 15% hair cut, and allows a margin of 85% of the market value of the shares.
4. Utilise the "FnO Margin" created as above for stock futures trading. The thumb rule is if you have created a margin of Rs 1 lakh, you should never use more than Rs 50,000 worth of margin for stock futures, allowing the balance 50000 for MTM losses if any.
5. I will do this shortly, create FnO margin for the purpose of stock futures, take positions in selected counters, only one at any given time, and place my trades in this blog. Members may just watch this space, see the performance of such trades, and then follow the trades.
6. All my trades will be in first class counters like Colgate, and the margin required for one lot of such shares will be in the region of 30-40K, which means you need to create a FnO margin of 70-80K by the above method.
I request all those who want to follow the above trades, to ensure that they dont deviate from any rules which I have mentioned above. Overtrading is strict NO NO, and ensure that you have an outstanding position only in one counter, and that too for one lot.

NIFTY TARGET 15000!!!
The bull phase has just been confirmed. The fear of double dip recession has vanished. Indian stock market has entered a new phase of bull run which may extend for next 5 years. Periodical profit taking is just part of any bull run. We may even see some deeper corrections during this bull phase. But all corrections will be promptly bought into, enabling resumption of the uptrend. Hold your investments already made, and to be made from now on for a Nifty Target of 15000. I expect Nifty to touch this target anywhere from Oct 2012 to March 2013. This means the holding period is going to be just another two years. DO FOLLOW MY GOLDEN RULE OF SELLING 50% OF THE HOLDINGS IN ANY SCRIP WHEN THE SAME DOUBLES FROM THE BUY PRICE TO 1) MAKE THE BALANCE ABSOLUTELY FREE, AND 2) RELEASE THE INVESTMENT IN THAT SCRIP TO INVEST IN SOME OTHER PICKS.
FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING:
1. Invest only owned funds, and avoid borrowing for the purpose of investment in stocks.
2. If funds are limited, cultivate pushing a part of the savings every month into equities, and build up a decent portfolio over a period of time.
3. Build up a decent FnO margin out of the holdings of shares invested, and take some selective LONG positions in stock futures. (A detailed write up will follow very soon this week regarding this strategy).
4. Have a diversified Portfolio, and avoid placing all eggs in a single basket.
5. Book profits only applying Golden Rule.
6. No Stop Loss is required for Investment Picks, as well as LONG positions in stock futures.
When Nifty touches its target of 15K, most of my picks will outperform nifty. You can see some of them appreciate even 10 times over a period of 3-5 years.
