DAILY REPORT ON NIFTY BY kadiyali - 03.08.09 (Monday)

Nifty Futures Morning Call

11AM...Nifty Futures opened today at 4658 against its previous close of 4636, and is currently trading at 4647. It has so far recorded a HIGH of 4662 & a LOW of 4623. Asian cues are positive, US futures are flat but in green, and European markets may open today flat. Nifty will trade subdued & rangebound for the first half of the trading session, will pick up the momentum in the second half, and end the day in positive. NF is likely to trade in the range of 4610-4690 today.

Market Closing Report

Nifty futures closed the day at 4729, at the day's high, after touching a low of 4612 & high of 4730.

NIFTY OUTLOOK

Nifty continued its surge for the third day in succession, closing the day above 4700 for the first time in 2009, at 4711, up 75 points. FIIs net bought 347cr & DIIs net bought 61cr.  Having succeeded in closing above its 12th June intraday high of 4693, nifty will now proceed to achieve its immediate target of 4850. However, drop of  volume with the rise in idex should call for caution.

Nifty levels for 04.08.09 Tuesday are: PIVOT 4684, R1 4750 & R2 4790, S1 4645 & S2 4578.

  3. hi kadiyali,
is there any possibility for nifty to come 4400 this month(aug)...

    ReplyDelete
  4. santhu, nifty range for August is 4400-4750 with a possibility of breaching by 100 points on either side.

  5. ramesh, 4900CE came down upto 66.05 against my expectation of below 65. If it goes to 135 now without coming down further, your decision to pick up at 72 will turn out to be right. But chances are it will definitely breach 65 before moving up to 3 figure.

  14. Hi Kadiali ji,
Is there any chance to get the 4900ce@65 now?

    ReplyDelete
  15. sir is there any chance of 4900 ca to come below 65 now

    ReplyDelete
  16. Ramesh, it is always better to place one order just below 65 & wait for execution. If rate falls further we can always average. It is easily said than done, as you can see myself missed the opportunity.

  17. I have to go out so placed the CE4900 @65 and now trading at 82

  18. Sir as this CE4900 call for this week and target is 135 do you have any suggestion for intraday, should be hold or you suggest to book profit for intraday

    ReplyDelete
  19. can we buy another lot of 4900ce at this level, already buy at 65rs

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hi Kadiali Sir,
I had place it at 62.5. Is 79.3 also good rate to buy?

  21. The LTP of 4900CE on Friday was 77, and I had suggested in my Weekly Report, knowing fully well it would come down to below 65. Recommending you all to buy at current market value of above 80 will amount to giving a buy call on Friday. Those who had bought below 65 will go through the process explained in my Weekly Report. Those who had missed the opportunity may wait for next recommendation, or if it falls below 65 again.

  23. sir I brought 4900 call @70 and out @82
    thx

  24. santhu, I had already mentioned in my Weekly Report that this week will test the patience of those who hold shorts, as the whole of the week they may not get a decent exit. If you have already entered my Option Recommendation by buying 4900CE, to some extent it would have hedged the short. Dont average your too low a strike rate puts. You can think of buying puts 4500PE at the second leg of my recommendation, if it comes.

  26. Dear kadiyali Sir,

Most of your fllowers got oppurtunity to enter oon your call and including my self 2 lots of 4900CE at 72.5/-.

Can you give your pre-close reprt now.
Any i will kepp this until min 125+.

    Thanks,
    Ramesh.

  27. Ramesh, now that 4900CE has gone beyond 90, it hardly matters whether you bought it for 72 or below 65. But it does matter that people like me missed the opportunity to buy it below 65 though it did slip below 65.

  29. It looks certain that the target of 135 given by me for 4900CE will be achieved tomorrow morning, and those who bought the same today below 65 will also get 4500PE out of the profits booked. However, 4900CE may still go up beyond the target of 135, and 4500PE may still fall below the purchase price when the first leg of my recommendation is achieved. Since I have recommended buying of 4500PE out of the profits booked & not out of the capital, nothing to worry. One can undergo the process of leg 2 of my recommendation as recommended.

  35. vijaya, just dont do anything now, wait & watch, and go for my next recommendation. Your loss anyway is limited to the premium paid on puts, just think of people who have gone short on nf. You have still one full month to make your 4000PE free by trading in next options.

    ReplyDelete
  36. banerjee, if you have bought Balaji Telefilms for a multibagger opportunity, you can keep it for long term. If bought for short term as per my recommendation, you can sell at 60.

  37. My open positions.

  41. Dear Kadiyali:

I bought 4800CE at 110 and i have 4600PE at 160 bought last weekend , now the prices are 136 n 116 respectively lost nearly 28points as of now..
Is it worth to book loss in 4600PE n run the 4800CE gains or as this is start of month shd i first wait to book 4800CE profit n wait for market to decline to minimize my 4600PE running in loss now?/

    Please advice
    Sreeram

    ReplyDelete
  42. Dinesh, my recommendation in Weekly Report was to buy 4900CE below 65 for a target of 135 as the first leg, and to buy 4500PE out of the profits as second leg to take advantage of a POSSIBLE fall in nifty. So you cannot take the recommendation as a call to buy 4500PE when 4900CE goes to 135. However you could have definitely gone for a NF LONG when 4900CE slipped below 65.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Sreeram, option field is a vast field, and even if one confines only to Nifty Options, this kind of combination either as a stradle or as a hedge taken to cover the previous trade is very difficult to manage/monitor/predict. All that I can say is HOLD both for the time being, get out of 4800CE when its price nears your combined cost, to make 4600PE near free, and immediately average your 4600PE holding, and hope for the market to fall.
