DAILY REPORT ON NIFTY BY kadiyali - 27.08.09 (Thursday)

Nifty Futures 11AM Call

11AM...Nifty Futures opened today at 4663 against its previous close of 4682, and is currently trading at 4673. It has so far recorded a HIGH of 4682 & a LOW of 4655. Asian cues are negative, US futures are in red, and European markets may open steady today ahead of US GDP data. Nifty will trade subdued for the first half of the day, but will pick up momentum in the second half aided by heavy short covering being the last day of settlement, and will close the day in positive. Trading range for NF today is likely to be 4640-4750.

Market Closing Report

Nifty futures closed the day at 4688, up 8 points, after touching a high of 4712. Morning low of 4655 remained the low of the day.

NIFTY OUTLOOK

Nifty recorded a positive close for the 6th consecutive day today, and closed the day at 4688, up 7 points. FIIs net sold 41cr & DIIs net bought 29cr. Having gone closer to 4700 mark for the last 3 days & failed to get a close above 4700, nifty may now have a minor pull back below 4600, before resuming its attempt to break out above 4700.
Nifty levels for 28.08.09 Friday are: PIVOT 4680, R1 4716 & R2 4743, S1 4653 & S2 4617.

    Bought 4700ce 2lots aug expiry at 10. Kept 2 more at 7, if it all it goes doen again.
    Also kept buy order 4700ce sept at 130.
    Please let me know, if i need to change any order.

  4. srini, short covering in the last two hours may come, and take NF towards 4750. Hold your 4700CE/Sept.

    what about 4900CE call, shall we leave just like that or we can place sell order. In case if we leave just like it what will happen sir, as i have not done so far, plz advice.

    Just leave it to expiry, if you are going to sell then again you have to pay brokerage for that sell order.

  9. dear d brokerage is charged and stt is .125 in case of auto square and .017 in case u square it off..brokers never spare u

  10. Dear manu,

    As far as I am concerned, if I leave any call/put for expiry as it is, I will not pay the brokerage i.e, my broker (sharekhan) will not charge anything. Even they will not charge anything for that call/put options.

    They have not charged me anything so far as said by Jay & Ramesh. Plz check your account if they charged or not. Incase if i had sold it yesterday it would have more loss to me.
