DAILY REPORT ON NIFTY BY kadiyali - 12.08.09 (Wednesday)

Nifty Futures 11AM Call

11AM...Nifty Futures opened today at 4412 against its previous close of 4464, and is currently trading at 4403. It has so far recorded a HIGH of 4437 & a LOW of 4401. Asian cues are negative, US futures are in slight positive, and European markets may open today flat to slightly positive. Nifty will trade today in negative for most part of the day, may recover to positive towards the end, and will close the day near flat. The trading range for NF is likely to be 4370-4490.

Trading Calls

11.50AM...NF now at 4377. Go LONG. SL 4349. Target 1 - 4427. Target 2 - 4445.

2.07PM...NF now at 4405. Change the SL to Buy Price + Brokerage, so that there is no loss in this trade.

2.59PM...NF has broken its morning high of 4437, and has created a new high of 4461. In the process both Target 1 & 2 of my 11.50AM call are achieved.

Market Closing Report

Nifty futures closed the day near day's high at 4472, up just 8 points, after touching a low of 4351 & a high of 4474. Nifty closed the day NEAR FLAT at 4457, down just 13 points.

NIFTY OULOOK

Nifty had a mildly bearish trade today, losing intraday as much as 112 points from its previous close but managed to recover almost the entire loss towards the end, closing the day at 4457, down just 14 points. FIIs net sold 505cr & DIIs net bought 190cr. Nifty has now closed for the last four trading days between 4400-4500, slipping today intraday below its solid support of 4398, and is now looking for a trade above its resistance of 4520.
Nifty levels for 13.08.09 Thursday are: PIVOT 4430, R1 4501 & R2 4545, S1 4387 & S2 4315.

    Kadiyali Sir,

    I have 5 lots of Nifty call of 4700 at 67 (presently at 33). Should i average here or just hold or exit at loss.. Require your valuable inputs on this...

    Sir,
    As said earlier, I planned to hold longs in OPTION(Ce4800 and RCOM) untill NIFTY reach atleast 4700 level. otherwise let it lapse in last day of expiry.after exit longs may be ur weekly advice SAIL(PA) and PE4500 also can be taken when nifty reach 4700.untill wait and watch...

    Vinod, average with 4600CE below 50 if & when NF trades below its current low of 4385.

    Would u recommend holding/averaging the RCOM 270CA @ cmp 6.2 of tgts of 20 or even breakeven at 12?

    Europe opens soft..but can rocover eventually..the main concern is dow fut which is still -ve..
    One can buy suzlon for intraday tgt of 84+ since support of 80 was not broken.

    2 longs averaged at 4519 - Sep 4650 + Oct 4388.
    2 CE 4900 @ 72.55
    1 CA RCOM 270 @ 11.5

    Should I hold onto this?

    Kadiyali sir, nifty target 1 acheived!!!! Great!!! Offloaded my 4600 calls at 66.90.. average buying price was 50.45..

    Nifty gets a 4th close between 4400-4500 by closing at 4481, 4437, 4471 & 4457 for the last 4 trading sessions, raising hope that the down trend started from 4718 on 6th Aug may be over for the time being.
