DAILY REPORT ON NIFTY BY kadiyali - 23.07.09 (Thursday)

Nifty Futures Morning Call

11AM...Nifty Futures opened today at 4455 against its previous close of 4405, and is currently trading at 4496. It has so far recorded a high of 4512 & a low of 4455. Asian cues are positive, US futures are in positive,  and European markets may open steady today. Nifty will trade today in green for most part of the day posting good gains, may lose most of the gains by the end, and may close either flat or with minor gains. NF is likely trade in the range of 4390 - 4530.

Market Closing Report

3.30PM...Nifty futures closed the day at 4539, up 134 points, after touching a high of 4547. The morning low of 4455 remained the low of the day.

NIFTY OUTLOOK

Nifty had a bullish trade today, opening with a positive gap & ending near the day's high, to close the day at 4523, up 124 points. FIIs net bought 512cr & DIIs net sold 34cr.  Nifty is almost midway in its short term range of 4200-5000 & is nearing its strong resistance of 4560. Till nifty gets a close above 4560, bears have a chance to take it back to 4200, and once nifty gets a close above 4560, bulls will easily take nifty to 5000. Those who are heavily invested may utilise tomorrow's trade to sell 50% of the holdings so as to reduce the cost of balance 50%, so that they will be in win-win situation whichever way nifty moves from here.

Nifty levels for 24.07.09 Friday are: PIVOT 4487, R1 4569 & R2 4613, S1 4442 & S2 4360.

  14. Dear stockpick,
I give the 11AM report for people to read it, understand it, and once they are able to understand it, try to trade based on it. It is not humanly possible to keep guiding after the report is given. The purpose of this blog is to get benefit by reading what is written in the blog. So keep reading the blog, you will find the purpose of the blog getting served. Further I also do not reply any comments from members/visitors if the answer is already there either in my write ups or in my answers to some or the other comments. Rgrds.

  17. Dear Kadiyali:

I think it is also defeating the TITLE of your blog, you shd change it to something else???
atleast one call a day shd do the needful, it is a request kadiyali

  18. I would like to request all of you that it is next to impossible to spot the movement intraday in nifty.

But Mr.Kadiyali evaluates various factors and tries his best to give the range of nifty.

And a loss of 10-15% in NF is very normal for intraday trade. My strategy is I go with Mr.kadiyali if his views matches my views,if on any day his and mine views are diff then I do not trade on that day.

  19. Dear such is life,
I suggest every body to trade in NF only intraday, no overnight position, again with strict SL. One can definitely deviate from these rules, if he has accumulated good profits in day trading over a period of time. So till one gets good profit on hand, no overnight position, no position without loss.

Similarly, I dont suggest anybody to trade in options unless he has good amount of profits from NF trading on hand. Once we invest our money in options, we have to mentally book the loss the moment we buy the option. That is why I nowadays suggest only options below 40 or maximum below 60. In options, we have to buy below 40/60, sell above 90/120, and not the otherway round.

Further please note today I had given NF range as 4390 - 4530. Till even beyond 2PM, nifty remained in the morning range of 4455-4512, and it is only just before 2.30PM it broke out above 4500 again. Now if you think my low of 4390 would come for you to square up without much loss, should you also not think that my high of 4530 can also happen? One of my staff today took a SHORT at 4538 & has carried it overnight because he has already good profit on hand, he did not square it though he had got a level of 4526 after taking the position.

I feel you will get a chance to come out of your short taken at 4400 well before this expiry with a better result than what you face today evening. Rgrds.
