DAILY REPORT ON NIFTY BY kadiyali - 29.07.09 (Wednesday)

Nifty Futures Morning Call

11AM...Nifty Futures opened today at 4550 against its previous close of 4565, and is currently trading at 4568. It has so far recorded a HIGH of 4572 & a LOW of 4521. Asian cues are generally negative, US futures too are in red, but European markets are likely to bounce back & open marginally positive. Nifty will continue its rangebound trading for the third day today, but is likely to fall below 4500 towards the end, and may close the day in negative. Both the current high & low of NF are likely to be broken during the course of the day.  NF is likely to trade in the range of 4480-4590.

Trading Calls

11.59AM...I had recommended in my Weekly Report on Saturday:

1)to BUY 4500PE below 30 for a target of 60, and on achieving the target, to sell half & hold the balance half free of cost till expiry. Target 60 is now achieved, and those who are holding 4500PE following this recommendation may sell half & hold the balance half till expiry.

2)to BUY 4600PE below 60 & hold it till expiry. This option has touched a high of 160 till now, and those who are holding 4600PE following this recommendation,  may enjoy the ride still more.

12.31PM...4600PE bought below 60 as per my recommendation in Weekly Report  has hit 182 now. Money got trebled in 1-2 days. What more is required? Those who are holding 4600PE following this recommendation, may sell half now, recover their money with profits, still holding the balance absolutely free of cost, and continue the ride till expiry.

Market Closing Report

Nifty futures closed the day at 4496, down 69 points, after tanking to a low of 4415.  The morning high of 4572 remained the high of the day.

NIFTY OUTLOOK

Nifty today saw an increased level of volatility ahead of July expiry month, tanking to a low of 4420, before  recovering above 4500 levels,  ending the day at  4513,  down 51 points. FIIs net sold 168cr & DIIs net bought 126cr. With only the last day of this month expiry pending for tomorrow, nifty may see further volatility. Moreover, the break down below the crucial 4528 has clearly tilted the scale in favour of the bears, and nifty is likely to slip below 4400 in a day or two.

Nifty levels for 30.07.09 Thursday are: PIVOT 4503,  R1 4585 & R2 4656, S1 4431 & S2 4350.

  7. Dear ramesh,
Once your losing trade comes into profit, it is prudent to book profit one lot by one lot for every rise. Hope you have done that already. At least have you not saved the money which otherwise you would have put in calls to hedge the 4500PE? Just read my recommendations for options in my last 3 Weekly Reports released every Saturday. If readers of this blog had just taken only those options, just imagine how much money they would minted in 3weeks? Rgrds.

  10. Dear Prabhanshu,
I had suggested you a way to recover your money in 4200PE taken at an average rate of 15, by first buying 4500PE equivalent to 20% of the 4200PE holdings, and to sell the 4200PE & recover whatever money at CMP.
If you have done that, your entire money is recovered with profits today. Rgrds.

  22. Dear prabhanshu,
Pl stop trading in options for the time being, and wait for your good time. I dont suggest you to get out of the market, but retain whatever money left with you, and keep adding to it, till it comes to a level from where you can start trading again. Till then, do the paper trading in options, and gain confidence. Rgrds.

  24. Dear gaurav,
Only if you have good profits on hand, just take a risk & buy ONLY ONE LOT of RIL PA 1920 for 16. Mentally write off the amount, the moment you buy this option today. Rgrds.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Dear ramesh,
Nifty may close below 4400 tomorrow for the expiry. Just my feeling ONLY based on today's trading pattern. DONT TAKE ANY POSITION BASED ON THIS VIEW. Rgrds.

  26. sir i am buying 1 lot ril put 1920 at 17 let hope for profit thanks sir

  27. Dear indian estate,
If you are buying Satyam at 106, at the rate at which I have asked so many people to part liquidate, what can I tell you? Always buy any share when nifty corrects substantially, buy more if it falls more. Similarly, wait for nifty to rise substantially, start selling what you have bought when nifty was low, sell more if nifty rises further, till whatever you have bought is sold off in good profits. Then wait with cash for one more steep correction of nifty.

Pl note this blog is restricted to F&O, and trading, and any querries regarding investments should be raised only in Money Control, so that many others can take advantage out of the same. So pl talk to me about shares, if I have given a call for buying of the same for short term in this blog, like I asked to buy a big chunk of shares two three weeks back, and like Balaji Telefilms last week. Rgrds.

  28. Thanks Sir,

I have closed all positions and no open positions to tomorrow.

    1) 6 lots of 4500PE@AVG 50/- and sold today at 72.55/-.

    2) 4 lots of 4600PE @65/- and sold today @105/- Intraday trade.

    3) 4 lots of 4500CE @32/- and sold today @48.45/- Intraday only.

If possible i will take 2 lots of 4500PE tomorrow other wise will short 1 lot Nifty Future.

Don't want to take to much risk tomorrow unless direction is very clear.

    Thanks,
    Ramesh.

  30. hi
i have a nifty future short at 1574. this is the first time i am doingwith futures. has tomorrow is the last day do i need to buy that lot or is there any option of converting to nifty future august.
    thanks
    justin

    ReplyDelete
  31. Dear justin,
Tomorrow by 3.30PM if you dont square off the NF short, it will get squared off automatically, and the profit or loss in the transaction will be adjusted in your trading account. If you want to carry over to August, you have to first square up July, and short in August series. Rgrds.

  32. Dear purushothaman,
You have to trade OPTIONs with a cool mind, because the erratic swings in the options will find us always committing mistakes. That is why I give my option picks only on Saturday, giving ample time for members of this blog to pick up the options coolly. Take for example, if I say in my last Saturday report, to buy 4600PE(CMP 85) below 60, that means it will come to you very shortly below 60. If it does not come, does not matter. When it is in the process of falling below 60, if you place your order to buy say at 59.10, it will get automatically executed, and all that you have to do is to coolly wait for the target. This particular option namely 4600PE gave us a chance to pick up below 60 yesterday as well as today.

Pl keep the above in mind, and trade in options next time. It is always enjoyable for everybody, if people silently make money based on my recommendations. Rgrds.

  33. Dear Kadiyali Sir,

I am following your Blog and Mmb for quite some time and have been benefitted also. As you advice to tade in options only from the money earned from NF, I am not able to trade in options as the frequency of NF calls is very less. Please give more interaday calls in NF. I have a very limted understanding of options (I don't know how much money is required to buy a call or put etc.)

Sir, You are dong a selfless service which is very rare in any times. May you lead a long, healthy and fruitful life.

    Regards
    Arvind Katyal
