DAILY REPORT ON NIFTY BY kadiyali - 28.07.09 (Tuesday)

Nifty Futures Morning Call

11AM...Nifty Futures opened today at 4591 against its previous close of 4576, and is currently trading at 4553. It has so far recorded a HIGH of 4598 & a LOW of 4535. Asian cues are generally positive, US futues are near flat, and European markets may open today marginally higher to flat. Nifty may witness another day of rangebound trading with support nearer to 4500 & resistance above 4570, and may end the day in negative but above 4500. NF is likely to trade in the range of 4490-4600 today.

Market Closing Report

3.30PM...Nifty futures closed the day at 4562, down 14 points, after touching a high of 4608. Morning low of 4535 remained the low of the day, and the trading was rangebound.

NIFTY OUTLOOK

Nifty had a rangebound but volatile trade today, closing near flat for the second day, closing the day at 4564, down just 8 points.  FIIs net sold 59cr & DIIs net bought 448cr.  Two days of identical trade with 4599 as resistance & 4528 as support indicates an equal strength of bulls & bears.  Break down below 4528 will give the bears an upper hand, and break out above 4610 will give the bulls the upper hand, with the chances of the former happening more than the latter.

Nifty levels for 29.07.09 Wednesday are: PIVOT 4564, R1 4599 & R2 4635, S1 4529 & S2 4494.

  2. Dear ramesh,
I am expecting nifty to close this expiry between 4400-4550. That is why I had recommended 4500/4600PE this week. Buying 4500PE below 30 will make 4470 as breakeven, whereas buying 4600PE below 60 will make 4540 as breakeven. I have also recommended to sell 4500PE half if target of 60 is reached, whereas I have recommended 4600PE to be carried to expiry. Still options in the last week of expiry has the risk of total capital loss, which we may feel only after the actual loss. So one should expose to this trade in a limited way. Rgrds.

  6. Dear ramesh,
It appears to me that tomorrow's intraday trade will give you an opportunity to get out of your 4500PE at 60 easily. But dont make fresh purchase based on this opinion. Rgrds.
