DAILY REPORT ON NIFTY BY kadiyali - 01.09.09 (Tuesday)

Nifty Futures 11AM Call

Nifty Futures opened today at 4691 against its previous close of 4673, and is currently trading at 4735. It has so far recorded a HIGH of 4737 & a LOW of 4689. Asian cues are positive, US futures are in green, but European markets may open in negative today tracking the profit taking session of Wall Street yesterday. Nifty will trade the first half of the session today in positive posting handsome gains, but will start losing the gains in the second half, may even slip into negative temporarily, before closing the day NEAR FLAT. Trading range for NF today is likely to be 4660-4750.

Trading Call

2.55PM...Short Term Trading Call: BUY Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) now at 181 for a Short Term Target of 210.

Market Closing Report

3.30PM...Nifty futures closed the day at 4615, down 58 points, after touching a high of 4746 & a low of 4596.

NIFTY OUTLOOK

FIIs net sold 636cr & DIIs net bought 367cr. As indicated in my Nifty Outlook for the last 2 days, nifty today completed the expected retracement to the level of 4600, and will now aim at getting a close above its current congestion zone of 4700-4750.
Nifty levels for 02.09.09 Wednesday are: PIVOT 4564, R1 4707 & R2 4789, S1 4572 & S2 4519.

  2. sir rsi of unitech has loosen strength to almost 40 % after d mcsi news..cn v shrt

    ReplyDelete
  3. Sathish, if NF even goes beyond the current high of 4745, it is a sure shot shorting opporunity for a 50 points gain. Keep SL at 4781.

    ReplyDelete
  4. manu, you can short Unitech at current level with SL at 109.70.

    ReplyDelete
  5. European Markets may open in Green. Should this change our prediction or NIFTY range?

    ReplyDelete
  6. vinsin, even if European markets open in green, NF may at best go to 4775 today. So if NF falls below 4710 in next 10-20 minutes, opportunity to go long too may materialise. So if NF falls below 4710 in next 15 minutes, go LONG with a SL at 4688 for a target of 4750.

  9. target99, as things stand now, all the European markets are likely to open in green with a minimum gain of 0.5% from previous close. So it is a buying opportunity below 4710 before the European markets open, and selling opportunity above 4750 after the European markets open.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Nitin, it is better to buy RCom in cash & wait for my target of 320, because it may some times go beyond the current expiry like what has happened with Suzlon target of 95. Also note to buy the same below 260.

  18. Vaidya, hold 4700PE till nifty 4850, and afterwards average the same, and hold both till expiry. On downside, if you see nifty 4600, get out of the same, and take fresh position in nifty 4700PE above 4800.

  21. Sir, I am holding GFCL as suggested by you earlier. Can I sell it now to make 50 % balnce free or should I hold for long term. I have no problem in doing either. Thanks...Krishnan

    ReplyDelete
  22. sree, book profits in Suzlon immediately, and shift the funds to Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) once nifty falls to 4600.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Krishnan, DO BOOK profits in GFCL by selling 50% to make the balance 50% free of cost. Deploy the funds taken out in OBC after nifty falls below 4600.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Can nifty futures be bought at 4625-40 levels? Sir plz comment

    ReplyDelete
  43. sandip, when I gave my 11AM report saying all the gains of the first session will be lost in the second, and nifty may even fall into red temporarily, nobody would have believed today. Any way for those who went short above 4750, it is an unexpected gain beyond 50 points.

    ReplyDelete
  44. sandip, you made money in NF today, do take it home. Wait for another opportunity after 11AM tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Luckily i did ...managed 130pts straight gains on my 10 lots. Thanks a lot.Cheers

    ReplyDelete
  46. Those who missed the chance to buy RCom in cash, can buy RCom in cash now at 262 for a target of 320.

    ReplyDelete
  47. kadiyaliji,

nifty 4700 puts sold at 187

    thanks

    ReplyDelete
  48. musti, when nifty was trading comfortably above 4700, many people will be there waiting as buyers at 4650-4700 levels, but none will believe it will fall below 4650. So order for buying below will be very thin, and in a selling pressure like the one which we saw now, it becomes a free fall till 4600.

    ReplyDelete
  49. vaidya, nifty spot almost touched 4600 today itself. Hope you have booked profits in 4700PE taken at 140. If not do it today itself, and take a fresh position of 4700PE once nifty goes beyond 4800.

  50. Dear Kadiyali,

    ReplyDelete
  54. Dear Kadiyali,
Great predictions. Although I am completely out of FnO trading for a month. Enjoying your calls here.

Is 4600 bottom for this month ?

    Regards

    ReplyDelete
  55. Rajat, you can definitely go long on ICICI or SBI in cash. For any longs in FnO, you may wait.

    ReplyDelete
  56. what is the next level for today???

    4600??or 4700??

    ReplyDelete
  57. Shubra, my weekly range for nifty has been given in my last Weekly Report as 4590-4780. For this Sept Expiry the range could be 4500-5000.

    ReplyDelete
  58. target99, today's game is over. Buy nifty 4800CE below 60 if you get at that level today.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Kadiyali sir,
Can i exit my short taken two weeks back on nifty sept at 4470 or can i buy one lot at oct (current rate) to hedge this position with minimum loss. please share your view that would be much helpful to reduce my loss

    thanks,
    arun

    ReplyDelete
  60. arun, you may book your loss in NF short taken at 4470 today itself. If you see NF falling by another 50 points after booking the loss, you may go long on a last positional trade to cover your loss. After that, confine your NF trades only to intraday, everyday.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Dear Kadiyali,
Which one will come first after 4780? 4500 or 4900+ ?

    Regards

    ReplyDelete
  62. manu, when food is there on the table, just eat it full. Book all your profits in Unitech short.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Shubhra, once 4780 is taken out, 4900+ will come before falling to 4500. And next upward journey 4780 will be taken out very easily with a break out above the congestion zone of 4700-4750.

    ReplyDelete
  64. kadiyali should i book loss in 4500 pe bought @ 160 now or should i wait ??????

    ReplyDelete
  65. Sir, thank you so much. And how about nifty call 4800 at 75? Would you advise to buy?

    ReplyDelete
  66. Dear Kadiyali,
Need your advice; I have Satyam bought @ 44, Suzlon @ 89 and 3i @ 79. Pl suggest which one to exit and by how much %, I would like to add few stocks as per your recent recommendations. Appreciate your quick response...

    Regards,
    NSB

  67. Dear kadiyali Sir,
ANother bad day for me, went short when nifty 4735 and after seeing your discussion with one of them saying better to go shortt at 4775 after europ opens then suddenly closed my position.

Can we go long on NIFTY at this level?
    Thanks,
    Ramesh.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Dear Kadiyali Sir,

Your calls continue to amaze us. I too made money (One lot and 50 points - Rs.2500) today on your call after very long time.. Just out of curiosity, may i know what prompted you to publish that Nifty mite go in red today in your morning 11 am report? That was inspite of strong opening and good global cues.. Guess you have amazing thought process!!!

    Thanks a ton Sir.

    Regards,
    Avinash

    ReplyDelete
  69. Bolewad, you can come out of Suzlon, and wait for a better level to re-enter. Hold Satyam as well as 3i info.

    ReplyDelete
  70. should i book loss in 4500 pe bought @ 160 or should i wait ??????

    ReplyDelete
  71. Ramesh, I have never revised my NF top of 4750, I only asked some one to keep SL at 4782, as at best it can go upto 4775. My call to go long was below 4710 if touched within 15 minutes before Euro opening for a target of 4750 only. And my call to short above the then high of 4745 was a "sure shot 50 points gain" call.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Vaidya, you can deploy profits generated out of your 4700PE into 4800CE today, I repeat only profits.

    ReplyDelete
  73. BUY Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) now at 181 for a short term target of 210.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Sir for OBC what is the target term, is it within this month or 1~3 months sir?

    ReplyDelete
  75. I got confused with that. No problem i will go for next call.
Congrates and thanks for your superb call to memebers here.
    Thanks,
    Ramesh.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Sathish, once I recommend any share for short term trading, it has to be bought in cash, and held till the target is achieved. It may come in a few days or weeks or sometimes even one or two months. For OBC, the target of 210 may come in a few days.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Dear Kadiyali,
    Bought 100 OBC @ 180.85

    Regards

    ReplyDelete
  78. Dear Kadiyali sir,
